Refund & cancellation policy
What you can get back, when, and how. This describes how our product actually behaves, not a template.
1. What this policy covers
Boosts are the only thing you can buy from us. A Boost is a purchase of promotional distribution — you pay us to have a public demand appear more often in other people's feeds. Nothing else in the product costs money, and no other payment product of ours is live. See how payments work for the full picture.
Target campaigns, described on that page, are planned and not available. If we ever operate them, each campaign will publish its own refund and cancellation terms as part of the offer you agree to, and section 8 below explains the principles those terms will follow.
2. Cancelling before you pay
Buying a Boost sends you to our payment provider's checkout page. You can abandon or cancel that checkout at any point before completing it. If you do, nothing is charged and no boost is created. The same is true if the checkout page expires before you finish.
3. What a Boost delivers
A Boost is a prepaid budget, not a fixed placement. The amount you pay becomes a budget for one specific public demand, and it is spent gradually as the demand is actually shown to people. Two limits apply to every boost:
- the budget runs for up to 30 days from the time your payment is confirmed; and
- it stops as soon as the whole budget has been delivered, whichever comes first.
Reach is an outcome, not a promise. We do not commit to a number of views, supporters, or any response from the company or person the demand is aimed at.
4. What is refundable
The rule, in one line
Budget that was delivered is not refundable. Budget that was not delivered is refunded to your original payment method.
Concretely: if you buy a $20 boost and $12 of it is spent on delivered appearances before the 30-day window ends, the remaining $8 is refundable and the $12 is not. If none of it was delivered, the whole amount is refundable. If all of it was delivered, none of it is.
A refund is issued once per boost order, for the undelivered remainder, to the payment method used for the purchase. We calculate the refundable amount ourselves from our delivery records — you do not have to work it out, and you cannot be refunded more than was actually left.
5. How to get a refund
Refunds are processed by our team. There is no self-service refund button in the product today. To request one, email support with the date and amount of the purchase and the demand it was for.
You do not need to give a reason to ask about undelivered budget. If a boost has ended with budget undelivered and that amount has not come back to you, write to us and we will process it.
We process a refund request within five business days of receiving it, and we will tell you when it has been sent. Once we send it, how long it takes to appear on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer rather than us — typically a few business days more.
6. If the demand you boosted is removed or closed
If a boosted demand stops being publicly visible — it is closed, or removed by moderation — delivery for that demand stops immediately and any appearance that had been reserved but not yet shown is voided rather than charged against your budget. Your undelivered budget is then refundable under section 4. Contact us and we will process it.
Delivered appearances that already happened before the demand was removed are not refundable, because the distribution you paid for was actually provided.
7. Failed payments and charges you do not recognise
If a payment fails or is declined, no boost is created and nothing is charged. You are welcome to try again with a different payment method.
If you see a charge from us you do not recognise, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. We can look up the order and, where a refund is due under this policy, issue it directly — which is usually faster than a dispute. We record every purchase and every refund against a specific order, so we can tell you exactly what a charge was for.
8. Target campaigns (planned, not available)
If we are ever able to operate target campaigns, they will work on different principles from Boosts, and each campaign will publish its own terms before anyone agrees to them. The principles we are designing to:
- a campaign is all-or-nothing: if the published minimum is not reached by the published deadline, the target takes on no obligation, no payout happens, and backers are refunded on the campaign's published terms;
- the refund and cancellation terms are fixed in the offer at the moment you agree to it, and changing them creates a new version that requires a fresh agreement;
- this structure pays the target before it delivers, so a backer is relying on that target to do what it published. We do not promise delivery on a target's behalf, and that is stated on the offer itself, not buried here.
None of this is live. It depends on a payment provider's written approval, which we do not have.
9. Prices and currency
Boosts are sold in US dollars, from $5 to $500 per boost, to adult account holders, currently in the United States. The price and the delivery window that applied when you bought a boost are fixed to that purchase — if we change our pricing later, boosts already bought are unaffected.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the product changes, and the "last updated" date at the top will change with it. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones published when you made it.
11. Contact
Refund requests, billing questions, and anything else about a payment: contact us.
